On a soft, warm evening such as this, one could almost pretend that summer had returned to us......the haziness to the atmosphere, the last of the season's flowers still colourful in the borders.....alas, dusk fell early, reminding us that it's autumn whether we like it or no, and although tinged with a certain somber feel, there is also a feeling of rightness to the seasons cycle and the inevitability of it. After fall comes winter, but after winter, spring always comes.
With dusk, the huge, fragrant flowers of these Evening Fragrance Toloache unfurled. These spectacular blooms are several inches across by the time they are fully open, which is usually in the middle of the night sometime. They're creamy white with the merest hint of lavender around their edges.
