I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this.....I am not really surprised.

I'm not really a 'I told you so' kind of person, not really.   But, not to put too fine a point on it, I pretty much thought the whole 'Secret' thing was a load of crap.  Because COME ON, PEOPLE, DUH!  WHAT 'SECRET'?!  There was nothing in that book or philosophy that was new.  It's all been done or said prior, by different 'self-help' gurus, in different ways. 

I'm sorry those people died, though....maybe Mr. Ray should leave practices like the Sweat Lodge to the native peoples who know what they're doing.   Read some of the comments on the Wildhunt.org blog, I agree whole-heartedly with many of them.

Are you as bored with Charlie Sheen as I am?  Why am I even giving space to him on my blog?  It's interesting to note however before I move on to more worthy topics that Charlie Sheen now has more than a million followers on Twitter.  Sad.....as one of my facebook friends commented recently, imagine if we could get a million followers for someone doing some actual GOOD in the world??  Then someone else commented that even Charlie Sheen has value as a horrible example.

Hmm.....try as I might, I cannot imagine why anyone would want to marry into the Royal Family.  This woman's life will never be the same.  However, the world seems to be buzzing with glee trying to figure out who gets to design the dress.  Well, parts of the world anyway, the parts that aren't starving or war-torn or something.......(whoa...bitter!  Where is that coming from??) 

I gather that the same engagement ring that the Prince of Wales gave to Diana way back when has been presented to Kate by Prince William.  One can only hope their marriage will be happier than Diana's.  Copies of the ring are allegedly selling like hotcakes.....you can have your very own for only $99.00!  I'm guessing it's a fake Sapphire though.......

All sarcasm and bitterness aside (and yes, I don't really see how the Monarchy is relevent in our modern world, but that is a topic for it's own blog posting, maybe), I do wish them well.

I can completely understand this man's anger, and hear the heartbreak in his voice. While on one hand, I do not condone abortion as a method of birth control, I do support a woman's right to choose. Who knows under what circumstances a woman is walking into an abortion clinic, having chosen to end her pregnancy? Who knows what heartbreak and soul searching she did to arrive at that decision? Most often it's not made lightly, and as the man says, being shouted at by a bunch of people with signs is not helpful in any way, and only makes the pain and heartbreak ten times worse. There are many, many reasons why a woman chooses to end a pregnancy, and while as I said I don't think it's a decision to come to lightly, I don't believe it usually IS made lightly, it's made at the end of a long, very difficult process. Why don't these protesters put their energy towards helping the underprivileged children already in the world, many of whom are virtually starving under our own noses, in our own country(s)?!!
I want to make it clear, here that I am not coming down in any way on any specific spiritual tradition.  It's merely an issue that I relate to strongly.
